Telehealth psychiatry allows you to receive psychiatric care remotely through secure video calls with your psychiatrist.

Yes, a referral from your GP is required to book an appointment. Please email your GP referral to referrals@mindmatterspsychiatry.com.au. You will need to wait for your referral to be reviewed and approved. Once approved, you will receive a notification message which will enable you to use our booking platform to schedule a time that suits you.

You will need a device with internet access, such as a computer, tablet, or smartphone, and a webcam or camera. We use secure, user-friendly platforms eg zoom, for video consultations, which are accessible through your web browser or a downloadable app.

Ensure you are in a private and quiet location with a stable internet connection. Test your device and internet connection before the appointment to avoid technical issues. Have any necessary documents or information ready, such as medication lists or previous treatment records.

Yes, telehealth has been shown to be as effective as in-person therapy for many mental health conditions. Our telehealth services provide the same quality of care, including comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and follow-up support.
